Sellers Shear was designed and developed using proven features from previously successful developments. It combines these with innovative design to offer improved quality of finish, economically and efficiently.
The Shear is available in a basic format, with a range of options to suit customer products and requirements. The machine is suitable for shearing both backed and unbacked carpet and for operation either in-line or off-line with a backing plant.
- Single- or multi-headstock to suit carpet widths up to 5 metres
- Choice of shearing cylinders to suit all carpet products, including the new ‘Hybrid’ cylinder
- Heavy-duty bladestock with increased stability, prolonging blade life
- New drive system enables precise carpet tensions to be set and maintained
- New cylinder separation system
- Full extraction system for brushes and cylinders, for better cleaning

Carpet tile shearing
Specially developed for the shearing of coated tiles, this shear provides both a final surface finish and also ensures accurately finished tile thickness.
These special flatbed shearing units incorporate Sellers’ proven shearing principle with the controls and accuracy associated with all Sellers shearing machines.
